What we do in Melbourne.
Commercial glazing, office partitions, shower screens, glass replacement and mirrors — supplied and installed. Site visits are scheduled by corridor, so the drive is part of the plan rather than an extra.
City work is apartment work. Docklands, Southbank and the CBD bring building access rules, loading dock bookings and lifts that have to be reserved — which is why a city job starts with logistics, not with glass.
In the terraces of East Melbourne, Carlton, Fitzroy and Collingwood, the constraints are the opposite: narrow stairs, heritage detail and walls that have had a hundred and fifty years to go out of square. A mirror or a splashback here is a fitting job as much as a glass job, and glass that was cut from a drawing will not sit flush.
The mix is roughly half residential renovation and half small commercial — cafés, offices and consulting rooms going into street-front spaces where the shopfront is the whole first impression.
